WRINKLE TREATMENT
Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Jeuveau™ and Xeomin®FDA-approved are FDA approved cosmetic injections for the temporary diminishment of muscle movement, resulting in an improvement in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to the treated area.
FILLER
Dermal fillers are injected with products are designed to produce a natural volume under the wrinkle, which is lifted up and smoothed out.
RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS
1) Post treatment discomfort, swelling, redness, bruising and discoloration
2) Post treatment infection associated with any transcutaneous injection
3) Allergic reaction
4) Reactivation of Herpes (cold sores)
5) Lumpiness, visible yellow or white patches in approximately 20% of cases
6) Nodule or granuloma formation
7) Localized Necrosis and/or sloughing, with scab and/or without scab if blood vessel occlusion occurs
8) Blindness
The use of topical and/or injectable lidocaine may be used in the process of your treatment plan to minimize discomfort. While lidocaine is generally safe, it is important to be aware of potential risks and side effects, which may include but are not limited to:
• Localized redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site.
• Allergic reactions, although rare, may occur. Signs of an allergic reaction may include difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. In such cases, immediate medical attention is necessary.
• Systemic reactions, such as dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision, or an irregular heartbeat, may occur but are very uncommon.
• In extremely rare cases, lidocaine administration may result in nerve damage or injury at the injection site.
